Garbage Live in Singapore

Do you miss rocking out to heavy guitar riffs accompanied by a sweet yet scratchy female voice as opposed to the jumpy pop songs that they’re playing on the radios nowadays? Well, now’s your chance to watch Garbage live in Singapore and rock out to Shirley Manson’s beautiful vocals!

The alternative rock band, made up of the Scottish singer and her American bandmates, formed in Madison, Wisconsin, in 1994 and managed to release successful singles like ‘Stupid Girl’ and ‘Only Happy When It Rains’ following the release of their debut album Garbage. They have won several awards including two Grammy awards and they were also featured in the nineteenth instalment of the James Bond movies, The World Is Not Enough. In 2003, the band took an ‘indefinite hiatus’ but reformed in 2007 – by then, they have released four studio albums. In October 2010, they started working on their latest album, Not Your Kind Of People and it was recently released on May 14, 2012.

Fans who have been anticipating their comeback will be glad to know that they will be performing in Fort Canning on 21 August 2012. Ticket prices range from $98 to $250, and will go on sale on June 5 through Sistic.
