Brainfeeder x Detour pres. Mono/poly

Beat heads, Detour Asia is bringing Brainfeeder to Kuala Lumpur! Founded by Flying Lotus, the label has been home to some of the best producers in the scene — from Samiyam to The Gaslamp Killer. If such prodigious names still don’t do anything to you, know this; Brainfeeder was awarded Label of the Year at Gilles Peterson Worldwide Awards 2012. This first Brainfeeder visit will see Mono/poly behind the decks of Milk Club. His formerly free (now available for purchase through the label) EP Manifestations came seemingly out of nowhere, impressing electronic aficionados everywhere with his amorphous beats. Uniquely of Los Angeles’ homebred beat scene, Mono/poly is a rare treat for Malaysians, the kind of producer who you’d expect to see at Singapore’s Home Club. Missing it would be the sort of mistake that puts our own scene in permanent stasis.

Mono/Poly will be supported by locals Mushroom Buttons, t.k.i, one of JUICE‘s magnificent 7 – Darren Ashley, Detour’s own CEE, and of course, us.
